Bicton Hill is the accessible walking area in Clump Mountain National Park, north of Mission Beach. The circuit rises through lowland rainforest before reaching a summit lookout with views across the mainland and nearby islands.
The Mission Beach Tourism guide (opens in a new tab) describes the return circuit as 3.9 km and moderately steep. Wear suitable footwear, carry drinking water and allow time to enjoy the rainforest and lookout rather than treating it as a quick roadside stop.
The BirdLife Northern Queensland Coastal Wet Tropics guide (opens in a new tab) identifies track access from 193 Alexander Drive. Check current park conditions before setting out, especially after heavy weather.
